Privacy Policy
Our Commitment To Privacy
Effective Date: August 26, 2026
1. Introduction
Your privacy is a priority at Tisdale Bus Lines. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, which service providers are involved, and your rights regarding this information.
2. Data Collection
a. Contact Form: We collect your name, email address, and message to respond to your inquiries efficiently. A short contact form with the same fields is also available in the footer of every page.
b. Job Application: We gather extensive personal, employment, and additional information to assess your eligibility and fit for our available roles. This information is detailed below in Section 7.
c. Quote Request: We collect data including your name, email address, group name, origin, destination, departure and return dates, and the number of passengers, to provide accurate quotations.
d. Technical Data: When you submit a form we process your IP address and standard browser request data (such as the Origin header) to rate-limit submissions, verify you are human using Cloudflare Turnstile bot protection, and keep security logs. See Section 9 for cookies.
3. Data Storage
This website does not operate a customer database. Form submissions are screened, routed to the appropriate Tisdale Bus Lines staff by email, and recorded in Cloudflare operational logs (one entry per submission outcome, kept for security and troubleshooting). The website and these logs run on Cloudflare's platform, which provides the security controls described in Section 12.
4. Data Usage
The data we collect is strictly used for its intended purpose, such as to address your inquiries, provide quotations, or assess job applications. Submissions are also screened automatically — including by Cloudflare Workers AI — to filter spam and route your message to the right team (Business, Human Resources, or Operations). Screening is conservative: submissions that cannot be assessed with confidence are treated as spam and are not delivered. Suspicious submissions are logged and discarded; they are never emailed onward.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. This website relies on the following service providers, who process personal information only to deliver their service: Cloudflare (website hosting, bot verification, spam screening, email delivery, and operational logs), Google (website analytics, Section 9), and Meta (advertising measurement, Section 9).
On rare occasions, such as in the case of business needs or vehicle breakdowns, we may share your data with third-party subcontractors to ensure uninterrupted service. We always seek partners who uphold similar standards of data privacy.
6. Data Retention
Because the website keeps no submission database (Section 3), delivered emails are retained in the relevant staff mailboxes in accordance with legal requirements, and Cloudflare operational logs are retained for a limited security and troubleshooting period. After these periods, personal data is securely deleted.
7. Job Application Data Collection
We meticulously collect a variety of data from job applicants to ensure we hire individuals who align with our values and standards:
a. Personal Information: Including but not limited to your full name, contact details, address, email, source of job referral, legal eligibility to work in Canada, driver's license details, and age.
b. Employment History and Relevant Experience: This covers details about your previous employers, work durations, type of work, reasons for leaving, availability for varied shifts, and references.
c. Driving Record: We assess driving history, any convictions, accident history, and the types of vehicles driven.
d. Additional Information: This includes your experience with special needs individuals, previous bus company employment, language proficiencies, and consent for background checks.
8. User Rights
As a user, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Opt-out of marketing communications.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us as described in Section 14.
9. Cookies and Trackers
This website uses the following cookies and trackers:
a. Essential (first-party): A strictly functional cookie (`__rl`) limits how many form submissions can be sent in a short period. It is not used for tracking or advertising.
b. Bot protection: Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish humans from bots. It is invisible to most visitors and may run browser checks or set Cloudflare cookies when a visitor appears suspicious.
c. Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (for example, which pages are visited). It sets cookies, including advertising-related identifiers. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
d. Advertising: We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. It sets cookies when you visit the site. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies at optout.aboutads.info, or manage your Meta ad preferences in your Facebook account settings.
You can also manage or disable cookies via your browser settings. Disabling cookies does not prevent you from browsing the site, but form submission limits and bot verification depend on the items described in (a) and (b).
10. Children's Data
Our services and website are not designed for children under 13. We do not intentionally collect data from this age group.
11. International Data Transfers
Our service providers (Cloudflare, Google, and Meta) operate global networks, so data may be processed outside Canada, including in the United States. We ensure it remains protected under this privacy policy and the law.
12. Security
Tisdale Bus Lines employs rigorous security measures, both technical and organizational, to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Examples on this website include bot verification on every form, submission rate limiting, automated spam screening that fails closed, and audit logging of every submission outcome.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
From time to time, we may update our Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices and services. When we post changes to this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top. If we make any material changes in the way we collect, use, and/or share your personal data, we will notify you by prominently posting notice of the changes on our website.
14. Contact
